(Oklahoma City) –  The Cushing Tiger Wrestling team placed third in the state tournament in Oklahoma City on Saturday,  crowning two individual champions and two runners-up.  

Ty Fittje, and Garrett Evans successfully defended their state titles, winning medalist honors at 125 and 130 pounds.

Two other Tigers wrestlers made it to the championship finals,  but were defeated in their state title bids.  Kyle Knight took runner up at 119,  while Josh Myers took runner up at 140.

Jared Bass took fourth at 171.

Tuttle claimed the team title,  making it a sweep of both Dual State and the State Tournament.  Sallisaw finished in 2nd,  and Cushing finished in 3rd.
