(Drumright) — A traffic mishap east of Drumright late Saturday night has claimed the life of a Cushing woman. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Deboroah Gay Smith, 56, of Cushing was one of two people killed in the accident Saturday night about 11:30 PM. The other victim has been identified as Garvin Summerhawk Barnett , 26, of Locust Grove.

The OHP says a car driven by Larry Keith Smith, 58, of Cushing was westbound on State Highway 33 when a vehicle driven by Barnett crossed the centerline and stuck the Smith’s vehicle.

Deborah Smith was pinned for more than two hours before Drumright firefighters freed her, but she and Barnett both died at the scene, according to a patrol report. Larry Smith was taken to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa in stable condition.
