(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing woman pleaded no contest Monday to possessing methamphetamine, driving under suspension and failing to carry security verification during a Perkins traffic stop on State Highway 33 and U.S. Highway 177 in September.

Veone Stephanie Hesson, 38, was placed on three years’ probation under a deferred sentence Monday by District Judge Phillip Corley with extensive conditions including a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Hesson was ordered to follow any recommendations from that evaluation, along with undergoing quarterly hair follicle tests and random urine analysis tests for drug use, court records show.

Hesson also was ordered to perform 100 hours of community service within nine months and to pay $1,500 in fines and assessments, court records show.

A month before that charge was filed, Hesson had been accused of having passed six forged checks totaling $2,950 on her ex-boyfriend’s account between April 17 and May 1 of 2013, court records show.

That felony case was dismissed by the prosecution in Payne County last month, court records show.
