(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing woman was arraigned Tuesday on a felony charge of assault and battery on a police officer for allegedly slapping Payne County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Myers in the face while she was intoxicated Saturday.

Miranda Renee Lacy, 31, remains in the Payne County Jail in lieu of posting a total of $9,000 bail — including a 2004 misdemeanor charge of obstructing another Payne County sheriff’s deputy while she was intoxicated at a Stillwater bar.

A bench warrant had been issued in 2007 for her arrest when Lacy failed to appear in court on that 2004 case for which she was arrested Saturday, court records show.

If convicted of her charges filed today for alleged assault and battery on a police officer and public intoxication, Lacy could be incarcerated for five years and 30 days and given a $600 fine.

If convicted of her 2004 charges of obstructing an officer and public intoxication, she could be incarcerated for one year and 30 days and fined $2,100, court records show.
