(Cushing, Okla.) Citizens are asked to be extremely mindful of the fire ban and to conserve water. The City of Cushing released this statement:
“City of Cushing asks citizens to help restore city water levels, through voluntary water rationing.
Due to the recent wildfires, the large amount of water used to combat those fires, and high temperatures, City officials are asking for citizens assistance through voluntary water rationing.
In attempts to increase the city’s reserve water level, citizens can help by refraining from excessive outdoor watering, and by limiting the use of dishwashers and washing machines only when needed.”
