(Stillwater, Okla.) — An Oklahoma City woman was charged today with bringing contraband into the visitation area of the Cimarron Correctional Facility in Cushing on Sunday.

Kimyetta Nichole Hawkins, 34, was scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon from the Payne County Jail where she was being held on $5,000 bond, court records show.

Hawkins brought onto the prison grounds a package wrapped in black electrical tape — containing marijuana and several “SIM cards” for electronic devices — that she concealed on her person and provided to an inmate, the felony charge alleged.

If convicted of bringing contraband into the prison in Cushing on Sunday, Hawkins could be incarcerated for five years and fined $1,000, court records show.
