(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Cushing prison inmate, who was brought into court in a belly chain and leg irons, was given a two-year prison term Friday for having two cell phones, which are considered contraband, in the Cimarron Correctional Facility on Oct. 1, 2014.
As part of a plea bargain approved in court Friday, the contraband sentence for Lasean Dontae Wilson, 35, runs at the same time as two concurrent 10-year prison terms he is serving in the Cushing prison for armed robbery and assault and battery with a deadly weapon in 2008 in Oklahoma County.
Wilson has been incarcerated for six years and will be on probation for 10 years when he is released from prison, state Department of Corrections records show.
Wilson was previously convicted of cocaine and marijuana possession in 2003 in Oklahoma County, for which he originally was given probation that was revoked to two concurrent eight-year prison terms, of which he served about three years, DOC records show.
Wilson also has a 2007 conviction for drug possession in Oklahoma County, for which he was given an eight-year probationary sentence, DOC records show.
Wilson also had been convicted of cocaine possession in 2002 in Oklahoma County, for which he originally received a deferred sentence that was changed in 2004 to five years of probation, DOC records show.
