(Cushing, Okla) – This morning just after 9:00 a.m., Cushing police officer Carson Watts was on patrol in the 300 blk E. Greenlee Street, when he checked the tag of a car, which was a Honda Civic. The car returned as stolen, and had been entered into the National Information Crime Center (NCIC) data base by the Tulsa Police Department.
Officer Watts, Detective Adam Harp, Officer Brandon Hise and Sgt. Jack Ford performed a felony stop on the car, which was being driven by Cushing resident Brian Curtis Garcia, WM, 22, near the intersection of Little and Greenlee Streets.
Officer Watts confirmed the cars’ vehicle identification number, confirming the car had been stolen from a Tulsa car dealership.
Garcia was arrested and taken to the police department for booking. A female passenger was taken to the police department and later released.
Garcia is being held in on complaints of possession of a stolen automobile and driving a car without a valid drivers license.
