Friday morning, Cushing police officer Lucas Armenta connected with students at the Wilson Pre-Kindergarten Center to talk about “Stranger Danger.” Officer Armenta spoke to all classes individually during Friday’s guidance time to educate them about being safe around people that they do not know.
Before leaving, Officer Armenta gave student a Safety Pup coloring book and a police badge sticker. The positive promotion material is made possible by those individuals and businesses who support the police department through the National Child Safety Council, a funding raising representative for the department.
Principal Sally Wright said, “I would like to thank the Cushing Police Department for always being willing to assist our schools with student safety education.”
