(Cushing, Okla.) A promotion ceremony was held this morning Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Public Safety Center.
Casey Perry who has been with the department for two years was promoted to Master Patrol Officer (MPO). The second officer to be promoted was Christopher Haywood. He has been with the department for one and a half years. Of the two newly promoted officers, MPO Casey Perry was selected as Senior Patrol Officer.
Bill McCarty, who has been with the Cushing Police Department for 23 years has decided to step down as MPO in order to give some of the younger officers the opportunity to step into some leadership roles. In his words, “The time comes when you have to learn to pass the torch, and that’s what I’m doing.”
MPO Justin Sappington was promoted to Senior Master Patrol Officer.
