(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man who was arrested twice within a month on assorted drug charges was given two concurrent five-year prison terms Friday as part of a plea bargain.
Charles Harrison Davis, 44, had pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine, marijuana and alprazolam, along with drug paraphernalia described as digital scales, straws, plastic baggies, syringes and razors, all on March 13, in a case investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
Davis had also pleaded guilty to possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a revoked license and failure to stop at a stop sign, as well as no contest to failure to pay taxes to the state and to carry insurance verification, all on Feb. 13 in a case investigated by Cushing police.
On the recommendation of prosecutor Tom Lee, District Judge Donald Worthington Friday ordered that the state Department of Corrections provide Davis with any drug and alcohol treatment programs available in prison.
