(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Cushing man who was placed on probation two months ago in four separate cases has been jailed on $15,500 total bail on a new charge of possessing a stolen 2002 Chevrolet SUV on Feb. 15 after four former felony convictions.
If convicted of his latest charge filed last week, Christopher Paul Hickman, 25, could be given a prison sentence from six years to life due to his criminal record.
For breaking into a woman’s house in the 1600 block of N. Little Street in Cushing on Sept. 16, 2014, Hickman had been placed on five years’ probation in December, except for 90 days in jail with credit for time served, with an order to pay $2,796 restitution and perform 75 hours of community service, court records show.
For possessing methamphetamine in Cushing on March 14, 2014, Hickman, who had been terminated from the Payne County Drug Court program in October, was placed on five years’ probation in December, except for 90 days in jail with credit for time served, with an order to have a substance abuse evaluation, perform any recommended follow-up, and pay $850 in fees and assessments, court records show.
For breaking into the fellowship hall of the Park Place Baptist Church in Cushing on Jan. 21, 2014, Hickman had been placed on five years’ probation in December, except for 90 days in jail with credit for time served, with an order to pay $486 restitution, court records show.
For making a false declaration of six months’ ownership of gold rings to a Cushing pawn shop on July 15, 2011, Hickman, who was originally given a deferred sentence the following year, was placed on five years’ probation in December, except for 90 days in jail with credit for time served, with an order to pay $375 restitution, court records show.
