(Stillwater, Okla.)  A 29-year-old homeless man from Cushing, who is on probation in four separate felony drug cases, was arraigned today from the Payne County Jail on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as attempting to elude and speeding in an SUV at 61 m.p.h. in a 45 m.p.h. zone on Noble and Main Street in Cushing, all on Wednesday.

If convicted of his latest charges, Thomas Clayton Ralston, who remains held on $10,000 bail, could be incarcerated for more than 12 years and fined $8,500, court records show.

Eight months ago, Ralston was placed on 10 years’ probation, with a 120-day jail term, for possessing marijuana and methamphetamine in Cushing in 2014, with an order to enroll in and successfully complete the Payne County Drug Court program, court records show.

At that time, Ralston’s deferred sentence for possessing marijuana on Highway 33 in 2010 was changed to a five-year suspended sentence for probation violation, court records show.

Sixteen months ago, Ralston had been placed on 10 years’ probation, with a 180-day jail term, in two separate marijuana cases, for possessing the drug on two different occasions in 2013, court records show.

Ralston also was convicted in 2006 of drug possession in 2005 and driving on a suspended license in 2006, both in Payne County, court records show.
