(Stillwater, Okla.) — A 63-year-old Cushing man has been jailed on $225,000 total bail pending January court appearances on charges of sexually abusing two girls, threatening a violent act to an adult relative, being a felon in possession of two guns, having methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license.
Due to his extensive criminal record, Steven Lynn Anderson could be given two life prison terms plus 12 and one-half years if convicted of all of his charges, court records show.
Anderson has been accused of in Payne County:
* molesting a girl in his neighborhood between Aug. 15 and Sept. 9 in 2024:
* threatening to burn a down an adult relative’s house during a phone call from jail on Nov. 14, 2024;
* sexually abusing a young relative between May 1, 2016, and Sept. 1, 2016;
* being a convicted felon in possession of two guns, driving on a suspended license and possessing methamphetamine on Aug. 29, 2023.
According to Payne County court records and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Anderson was previously convicted of:
* possessing methamphetamine and being a felon with firearms in 2011 for which he served less than three years of two concurrent 10-year prison terms;
* possessing methamphetamine in 2005 for which he was given a 10-year prison term in 2006 on which he was paroled after serving two and one-half years;
* possessing stolen property in 2005 for which he was given the same concurrent sentence and parole as above;
* possessing stolen property in 2004 for which he was given the same concurrent sentence and parole as above;
* drug possession in 2004 for which he was given the same concurrent sentence and parole as above;
* possession of a precursor with intent to manufacture a drug in 2002 for which he was given a seven-year prison term of which he served one year and five months;
* possess or furnish a precursor substance in 2001 for which he was given the same concurrent sentence as above;
* possessing stolen property in 2001 for which he was given a five-year prison term concurrent to the sentence above;
* possession of a drug with intent to distribute in 2002 for which he was placed on six years’ probation in 2003;
* possess or furnish a precursor substance in 2001 for which he was given the same concurrent sentence as above;
* possess a sawed-off shotgun or rifle in 2001 for which he was given a concurrent two-year prison term in 2002.
