(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man has been placed on five years’ probation for sexting a 15-year-old girl and possessing nude photographs of her on his cell phone in a case investigated by the state crime bureau.
Bryan Allen Anderson, 27, entered a no contest plea last week to indecent proposals to a child and a guilty plea to possession of child pornography.
Anderson was ordered by Associate District Judge Stephen Kistler to register as a sex offender and obtain a mental health evaluation, as well as follow any recommendations from it, court records show.
Anderson was also ordered to forfeit items found on a search warrant and pay $1,000 in fines and assessments, court records show.
An out-of-state police officer contacted Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Agent Steve Neuman last summer “to report he was aware of child pornographic images being sent via text message,” to a phone number belonging to Anderson, court records show.
The out-of-state officer learned that a 15-year-old girl had sent five nude images of herself from her cell phone to Anderson, according to an affidavit by the OSBI agent.
The officer was in possession of the girl’s phone when a message was received from Anderson requesting that the girl video herself performing specific acts, the affidavit alleged.
The next day, the girl’s phone received a message from Anderson asking if she was going to send what she said she would, the affidavit alleged.
The following day, the girl’s phone received another message from Anderson containing two partially nude adult females, the affidavit alleged.
The day after that, Anderson sent the girl’s phone a message with his home address where she could send the video that he had requested, the affidavit alleged.
Three days later, OSBI agents served a search warrant at Anderson’s residence where his phone was recovered, the affidavit said.
Three nude images were found on Anderson’s phone that matched images described by the out-of-state officer as being sent from the girl to Anderson, the affidavit alleged.
“An image of an adult male penis was also observed on Anderson’s phone,” the affidavit alleged.
Anderson admitted to the OSBI agent that he had received the images, had known the girl for several years, had asked her to send a specific video of herself, had sent her a picture of his penis via a text message and knew that she was 15-years-old, the affidavit alleged.
