(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Cushing man with a criminal record in three counties has been given a 10-year prison term followed by five years of probation for knowingly concealing stolen property in 2015 in Payne County after prior felony convictions.

Robbie Joe Oberbeck, 43, who pleaded guilty on Sept. 19, was sentenced in accordance with a plea bargain approved by Payne County Associate District Judge Stephen Kistler last week.

Oberbeck was also given concurrent jail terms in four separate misdemeanor Payne County cases – obstructing an officer in 2018, driving under suspension in 2017, shoplifting in 2016 and transporting an open container of beer in 2016.

According to state Department of Corrections and court records, Oberbeck had previously been convicted of:

* false personation in Payne County in 2000 for which he was originally given five years of probation that was revoked in 2004 to prison;

* drug possession in Lincoln County in 2002 for which he was given a five-year prison term followed by five years of probation;

* methamphetamine possession in Payne County in 2003 for which he was given a concurrent five-year prison term followed by five years of probation;

* false personation in Pawnee County in 2003 for which he was given a concurrent five-year prison term followed by five years of probation;

* methamphetamine possession in Payne County in 2010 for which he was given in 2011 a 10-year prison term of which he served about three years;

* marijuana possession in Payne County in 2011 for which he was given in 2011 a concurrent 10-year prison term of which he served about three years.
