(Cushing,Okla) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports an accident occured at 5:21 (a.m.) this morning about .4 mile east of CS2900, in Grady County. The accident apparently happened when a 1996 Chevrolet Pick Up Truck driven by Jerry Cecil Tucker (30) was traveling east bound on State Highway 19 and a 2012 Peterbilt Semi driven by Robert Earl Greene (56) was west bound on State Highway 19. Tucker’s Chevy Truck reportedly went left of center striking Greene’s Semi Truck.
Tucker was transported by Medi Flight to O.U. Medical Center where he was admitted in serious condition. Greene was pinned for about 3 hours before he was freed and passed away at the scene from his injuries. He was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office by Ferguson Funeral Home.
Additional information is pending upon further investigation of the accident.
Seat-belts were not being used in either of the vehicles and the airbags did not deploy.
