(Stllwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man who remains jailed on two methamphetamine possession charges was hit with another felony Friday — this time allegations that he stole a new lawnmower and a trailer, both owned by Atwood’s, in January.
Dustin Woodrow Molloy, 28, appeared in court last week on his latest drug charge in which he is alleged to have possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on June 3 in Cushing.
Molloy is due to return to court on July 12 when he can ask for a preliminary hearing on his felony drug charges.
Three months ago, Molloy was arrested with ex-convict Kevin Wayne Ledgerwood, 36, of Cushing, and Andi Bass, 22, of Cushing, on charges of possessing substances with intent to manufacture methamphetamine at Highway 33 and Euchee Valley Road on March 12, as well as possessing meth and drug paraphernalia.
Molloy was subsequently freed on $20,000 bail in that case investigated by Payne County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Myers, but he was arrested again on methamphetamine possession charges on June 3 by Cushing police.
His co-defendant in the three-count drug case, Ledgerwood, an ex-convict with a history of drug offenses, accepted a plea bargain May 28 and was freed on a personal recognizance bond pending his Aug. 27 sentencing.
His other co-defendant in the three-count drug case, Bass, accepted a plea bargain on May 21 in which a count of possessing substances with intent to manufacture meth was dropped when she pleaded guilty to the other two counts of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
She was placed on probation for seven years, fined $500, and ordered to pay $150 for a state crime bureau laboratory fee.
In Molloy’s newest felony case that was filed Friday, he is accused of stealing a new Swisher brand lawnmower worth more than $1,000 and a Better Built brand trailer, both owned by Atwood’s in Cushing, on Jan. 20.
If convicted of all of his charges, Molloy could be given a life prison term plus 32 years, court records show.
Molloy received probation in 2002 for taking or receiving a stolen credit card in Payne County and second-degree burglary in Lincoln County, both occurring in 2001, court records show.
