(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man was arraigned this afternoon from the Payne County Jail on a felony charge accusing him of waving a large kitchen knife in a woman’s face while threatening to kill her today.
Mack Allen Posey, Jr., 32, could be given a 10-year prison term if convicted of the assault with a dangerous weapon charge that was filed today.
Special District Judge Katherine Thomas set bail for Posey at $10,000 — with the condition that he have no contact with his alleged victim.
Five months ago in a misdemeanor charge, Posey pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery, interfering with an emergency phone call and obstructing an officer in a May 10, 2013, incident.
Posey was placed on probation for one year with conditions under a deferred sentence.
Posey was ordered to obtain evaluations for substance and domestic abuse, to follow any recommendations, to perform 20 hours of community service and to pay $400 in fines and assessments.
