(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man and a Yale couple have been charged together with possessing substances with intent to manufacture methamphetamine at the couple’s residence, along with possessing the drug with intent to distribute and possessing drug paraphernalia.

    Lori Lynn Cosco, 40, of Yale, who remains jailed on $50,000 bail, was arraigned Monday on the three-count drug charge and ordered to return to court July 23 for a preliminary hearing.

    Her husband, James Hulen Downs, 33, of Yale, who works for a well service, has not been arrested, court records show.

    Their co-defendant, Jeremy Robert Griffin, 40, of Cushing, who remains jailed on $50,000 bail, was arraigned Monday and ordered to return to court July 5, court records show.

    All three were charged together with possessing pseudoephedrine pills, three pieces of open peeled lithium batteries, lighter fluid commonly used as a solvent, two opened packages of instant cold compress containing ammonia nitrate, methamphetamine, three used coffee filters containing methamphetamine residue, three feet of rubber tubing, a Smart bottle containing a white granular sediment, black chunks of lithium metal, a liquid referred to a “one-pot lab,” a partial gallon of muriatic acid and an HCL generator made from a plastic bottle, all on June 26 with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

    They were also charged together with possessing drug paraphernalia, described as a glass smoking pipe with residue, a baggy containing methamphetamine, two glass smoking pipes, four used syringes, digital scales, five small baggies containing methamphetamine, 10 new baggies, 10 used baggies containing residue, a small spoon and measuring bowl, a sandwich baggy containing methamphetamine residue, five small baggies containing methamphetamine residue and plastic bottles, all on June 26.

    They were also charged together with possessing methamphetamine on June 26 with intent to distribute.

    If convicted of their three-count charges, they could be given two life prison terms plus one year and $71,000 in fines, court records show.
