(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man was charged Tuesday with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident in which his van allegedly struck a bicyclist Saturday night at Country Club and McMurtry Roads.
Ronney Floyd Sherman, 61, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Saturday by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Anthony Harper, according to court records.
Sherman was arraigned Tuesday on a felony charge of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, which carries a maximum penalty of a two-year prison term and $1,000 fine on conviction.
Sherman was freed on $5,000 bond pending his return to court on June 24 with an attorney, court records show.
