(Cushing, Okla.) Members of the Cushing fire department and Fire Chief Chris Pixler were taking care of “hot spots” in the area Monday afternoon on Euchee Valley Road. Pixler said his guys are doing pretty well. “We are trying to keep them hydrated and get them a little sleep,” Pixler said.
He went on to say how grateful the department is for all the outpouring of support they have received over the past few days. “We have the best community,” he said. “We want to thank everyone so much.”
By the end of the brief interview, Pixler’s men had packed up to go investigate yet another plume of black smoke rising in the air.
