(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing couple were charged today with maintaining their house in the 900 block of E. 9th Street as a place where marijuana was allegedly kept on Sept. 18.
Adrian Payne Burns, 26, and his wife, Hannah Russell Burns, 22, were scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon on a three-count drug charge each.
Adrian Burns was also charged with possessing marijuana with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a park, while his wife was also charged with possessing marijuana in the presence of a 10-month-old baby on Sept. 18.
The couple were also both charged with possessing drug paraphernalia described as baggies, prescription bottles, pipes, glass containers, rolling papers, a grinder and a scale on Sept. 18.
If convicted of his charges, Adrian Burns, who was released on $25,000 bond Sept. 19, could be given a life prison term plus six years and a $31,000 fine, court records show.
If convicted of her charges, Hannah Burns, who was released on a personal recognizance bond yesterday, could be incarcerated for eight years and fined $13,000, court records show.***
