(Cushing, Okla.) Cushing Country Club has announced the line-up for “Third Thursday with John Cooper” for the months of November and December.
Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, Mike McClure will join John Cooper at the Cushing Country Club. McClure is a singer, songwriter and producer from Tecumseh, OK and is currently the frontman for the Mike McClure Band, which consists of McClure, Tom Skinner and Eric Hansen. He is a founding member of The Great Divide and was a member until he and the band parted ways in 2002.
McClure got his start in Stillwater, Okla. at the “Farm” with numerous other Red Dirt artists such as Bob Childers, Tom Skinner and Scott Evans. Today McClure still collaborate with many other Red Dirt artists and has become permanent producer for Cross Canadian Ragweed. He has also produced albums for artists such as Stoney LaRue, Turnpike Troubadours and Johnny Cooper.
In 2011 McClure became partners with C.P. Sparkman, forming 598 Recordings, a record label whose first signing was The Damn Quails – “Down the Hatch.”

December 20th, Okemah native John Fullbright will join John Cooper at the CCC. Tickets are $15 in advance by calling 918-225-0811. Price at the door $20.
