Let me introduce you to Hailey Lacy, a perky, 6 year-old “wanna be” rodeo princess. She is the daughter of Ronnie and Becky Collins and Chad Schroeder, and the granddaughter of Johnny and Vicky Lacy, all of Cushing.
On June 27th, Hailey will celebrate her 7th birthday – an important thing for a young lady still in her single digits.
Her excitement was apparent by the big grin on her face when she was asked how she felt about competing for rodeo princess. “I think it’s awesome!” she said. “I like rodeos, they are so fun!”
Hailey attends Oak Grove School and is looking forward to going into second grade next fall. She enjoys riding her horse “Pepper,” competing in the Drumright Playdays on barrels, flags, poles, goats, and playing T-ball. Hailey said her “momma and daddy” taught her how to ride and that she has been riding since the tender age of 3.
When she grows up, Hailey said she wants to be a veterinarian and take care of animals.
