(Cushing, Okla.)  The Cushing Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Monday, March 7th at 7 p.m. with a study session at 6 p.m.   The meeting will be held in the Deep Rock School Library, 2601 N. Linwood, Cushing.

The meet will begin with a Board reorganization with the election of President, Vice President, and Clerk.

Board members will hear reports from school counselors Judy Payne, Amy Russell, Frances Gage, Becky Gunkel and Ruth Ann Copeland as well as a band report from Danny White and vocal music program report from Belinda Flynn.  John Rhoten will give a report on Title I.  Superintendent Koln Knight will give a budget update, enrollment report, sick leave and absence report as well as activity fund reports from the Central Office, Middle School and High School.  Treasurer Karen Dooley will give the Treasurer’s report.

Superintendent Knight will also lead the discussion on the possibility of grade centers.

Band director Danny White is also asking the board to discuss and approve a spring trip to Orlando, Florida for the band program.

In executive session, board members will discuss any lawsuits and the purchase and/or acquisition of real property.  They will also discuss the resignations of the following teachers: Gino Pagano, CHS math teacher, Kelly McGill, CMS home economics teacher and Jon Tuttle, CMS teacher/coach.  The board will then return to open session to vote on the approval or disapproval of the resignations.
