(Cushing, Okla) — A special joint meeting of the Cushing Board of Commissioners, Cushing Municipal Authority, Cushing Industrial Authority, Cushing Hospital Authority and Cushing Educational Facilities Authority  will be held tonight, Monday, July 22, 2019, at 5:30 at City Hall.  Board of Commissioners meeting agenda includes presentations to Lee and Johna Skinner, Donnie Hoover, and the swearing-in of Officer Taylor Ballard.

Several resolutions up for discussion/approval under Cushing Municipal Authority business are in regard to the upcoming Main Street project discussed at the recent Town Hall meeting held last week.


In Cushing Industrial Authority business, Trustees will be discussing several matters pertaining to economic development, including financial assistance to entice businesses for community economic benefits.  These discussions will be held in executive session.  Should any voting take place on the items discussed, trustees will return to open session to publicly vote.  This is in compliance with 25 OS 307(C)(11).


Public input and unscheduled personal appearances are allowed at the beginning of each meeting. According to the agenda:  “Each person will be limited to 3 minutes on agenda items only.  The purpose of this agenda item is to provide an opportunity for citizens’ comments on agenda items.  Commissioners do not engage in discussion under this agenda item, and staff members are directed not to, as well.  If you seek discussion or inquiry, please contact a Commissioner or the office of City Manager.  Responses to citizens’ comments, if any, will occur under the applicable agenda item or may be reserved for further responses by phone call, personal meeting, or a posting on the City’s website.”
