(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A personal injury collision involving three vehicles occurred earlier today, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 11:42 (am) on SH16 at West 201st Street South, in Creek County.
What happened was the 2014 Hyundai Elantra that was stopped on SH16 in the westbound lane and attempting to make a left hand turn onto 201st Street South was struck by a 2012 KIA Soul from behind. This caused the vehicle to strike a 1998 Oldsmobile Le Sabre. The Oldsmobile Le Sabre was going eastbound on SH16. The driver of the Oldsmobile Le Sabre was pinned for about 20 minutes until she was extricated by Bristow Fire Department.
Tiffany Hinson (27), from Bristow was the driver of the KIA Soul. Lorie Curtner (53), of Bristow was the driving of the Oldsmobile and Tyson Tackett (28), Waynoka, Oklahoma was driving the Hyundai Elantra.
Hinson was transported by private vehicle to Urgent Care (Tulsa), but was not admitted. Curtner was transported by Creek County EMS to St Francis (Tulsa), where she was admitted in stable condition with limb injury. Tyson Tackett was transported by Creek County EMS to St John’s Medical Center (Tulsa), for head injury where he was treated and released. Sage Tackett (26) of Waynoka, Oklahoma and Guy Shoulders (52) of Jennings, Oklahoma both passengers in Tackett’s Hyundai Elantra refused treatment.
Seat-belts were in use.
The apparent cause of the collision was due to inattention.
