(McPhersson, KS) – McPherson College has announced the addition of 15 more players to the football program for the fall semester of the 2008-2009 school year, among them, Cushing Tiger standout Clifton Miles.

Clifton Miles (6-0, 210, linebacker, Cushing, Okla., Cushing HS). Named the Class 4A-2 2007 Linebacker of the Year. Received All-District and All-Area honors four seasons. Ranked among Oklahoma’s top five in total tackles. Selected for Hawaii Classic and named Pawnee Bill All-Star. Plans to major in biochemistry/pre-med.

Head Coach Brian Ward says: “Clifton is tough; he has the type of size and speed that we were looking for at linebacker. Our freshman linebacker class has the potential to be outstanding, and Clifton is a big reason why. He is a very driven individual who has had a lot of responsibility up to this point in his life. I am excited about Clifton becoming a part of our program.”

Miles was a four year starter for Cushing, mainly at linebacker, but also saw time his sophomore and junior seasons a fullback, and on offensive line.
