The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A personal injury collision occurred at 10:08 (PM) March 7th (2015) on U.S. 412 westbound about .5 miles west of 129th West Ave in Tulsa County.
Michael Don Hendricks (24) of Cleveland was driving a 2008 Ford F350 pickup that was pulling a boat westbound on U.S. 412 when he departed the roadway to the left, over-corrected, departed the roadway to the right, then went into a broad slide and struck a tree.
Hendricks was admitted to St John Hospital (Tulsa) in critical condition with multiple injuries.
The cause of the collision is reported to be DUI with the odor of alcohol present. It’s unknown, and still under investigation, as to the use of seat-belts at the time of the accident.
