(Cushing, Okla.) According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol there was a fatality accident on US Highway 64 about 5/10ths of a mile west of County Road 81st West Avenue in Tulsa County. The accident occurred about 5:55 (pm) Monday afternoon.
Danny Eshelman (48), of Cleveland, Oklahoma, was driving westbound on US64 in a 2003 Nissan SUV when he apparently suffered a medical incident. His SUV departed the roadway to the left and struck the center cable barrier twice before continuing on approximately 283 feet before coming to rest on the center cable barrier.
Eshelman was transported by EMSA to a Tulsa area hospital where he was pronounced dead from an apparent medical incident.
Seat-belts were in use.
