The City of Cushing is offering folks a way to get cleaned up again. The City will be placing five dumpsters throughout the community to allow citizens to dispose of refuse generated by cleaning up their property.
The dumpsters are back by popular demand after the City offered folks a chance to dispose of items following the Christmas season.
According to General Manager Steve Spears, the program is planned to last for two to three weeks, beginning the week of August 3.
The locations of the dumpsters are as follows:
Hemphill Park – off of Central Street in the park
Former Senior Citizens’ building parking lot – 100 block of W. Cherry on the north side of the street
Memorial Park – in the Log Cabin parking lot
Kemp Park – off the alley
Lions Park – at entrance to park on Linwood
As always, some special rules do apply for those wishing to use the program:
No demolition of construction waste
No hazardous waste
No batteries, paints, tires, oils or liquid substances
Freon must be removed from any appliances and must have certification tag attached to appliance
Limbs must be cut into 4 foot lengths
No dead animal carcasses
Take advantage of this disposal and do a little clean up around your property. Beautify Cushing!!
