(Cushing, Okla) — The City of Cushing has received its collection and burn site permit from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ).  The debris collection process will begin this Monday, November 16, 2020, and is expected to take at least a month.

Quad Collection: We will be collecting debris from quadrants, using Broadway Street and Little Avenue as the divider. We will begin in the Southeast quadrant followed by the Northeast quadrant, then the Northwest quadrant, and lastly the Southwest quadrant.

Collection Site: The collection site (located just east of Core Civic) will be open to the public two consecutive weekends beginning this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The collection site will also be open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. until the recovery has been completed (See Collection Site Map). If you are hauling to the collection site, please make sure your load is secure. The collection site only is open to all.

There will be an attendant onsite but not available to help remove debris from vehicles, trailers, etc. The attendant will account for the debris. Again, the collection site is open to all.
Common Questions:
• I live outside the city limits so can I dump at the collection site? Absolutely.
• I live outside the city limits and am a utility customer. Will the City collect my debris if I have placed it at the roadside? Unfortunately, no.
