Cimarron Healthcare Center and Stillwater Medical Center are pleased to welcome Dr. Deborah Nilson to Cushing. Dr. Nilson is a Board Certified Neurologist who specializes in chronic pain management. She treats painful conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine utilizing x-ray guided techniques. She is able to provide the full spectrum of interventional procedures, including epidural steroid injections, selective nerve root blocks, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, sacroiliac joint injections, sympathetic blocks and appendicular joint injections (hips, knees, shoulders.) Additionally, Dr. Nilson will be performing more advanced procedures such as lumbar discograms, percutaneous discectomy, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty and spinal cord stimulator trials. She also performs ablative procedures using radiofrequency technology.


Dr. Nilson completed her Pain Management Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Her Neurology Residency was completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. She is a graduate of the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO and has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Oklahoma. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK.


Dr. Nilson is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association.
