Tyler Evans, Class of 2008 weighing in at 140 pounds under the direction of Coach Barry Patterson’s CHS wrestling program poses with Fred Cannon who wrestled during 1938, 1939 and 1940 weighing in at 121 pounds under the direction of Coach Emery Cotton’s CHS wrestling team when the high school was located on Steele Street.
The CHS wrestling program took a break from the mat from 1962 until 1976 and cited Coach Buddy Moore as instrumental in the return of the wrestling program for Cushing High School.
CHS wrestlers of yesteryear attended a reunion dinner held at Roldolfos before attending the wrestling tournament Saturday evening at the Cushing High School Field House.
