(Cushing, Okla.) – Every year Cushing High School Spanish Club participates in the Mexico Service Learning Project, a weeklong event where students pack backpacks, purses, other bags, and tea party sets for under privileged children and burdened women along the Texas/Mexico border, specifically the towns of Reynosa and Matamoros. With support from local businesses and individuals, the Spanish Club is able to reach the maximum number of those in need. By donating materials such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soaps, teacups, coloring books, etc. the community can truly make an impact on the success of this project and make a difference in the lives of those touched by the CHS Spanish Club.
The project will conclude Tuesday, November 25th.
