The Chandler Lions for the second straight game lost another heartbreaker.  The Lions were down by 6 with under four minutes left in the ball game and thought they had it won with a 10 yard touchdown pass from Rich to Fox however, it was called back due to a holding penalty.  The Lions failed to score after the penalty and lost by 6 to the Indians.

The Lions defense ended the season on a great note by scoring on a fumble recovery by Kyle Hardaway and lineman Jody Davis getting a rare interception off of a deflected pass by Barry Parks in the backfield.

Next season the Lions will look to contend for a state championship as numerous talented younger players will look to fill in the holes that will be left by the leaving senior class.  The up coming players are coming from a JV team that finished the season undefeated, a freshman team that lost only once and a eighth grade team that finished the season undefeated.

The voices of the Chandler Lions 2010 football season Perry Thoele and Jeff DeSpain want to thank everyone who made it possible for us to bring you the Lions broadcast every Friday night.  Having the opportunity to work with such a great coaching staff and a great community has been really special for both Perry and Jeff and we look forward to next season of Chandler Lion’s football.  So until next season so long from Perry Thoele and Jeff DeSpain.
