You just never know who will pop in for an impromptu concert in downtown Cushing’s Centennial Park.

Passers by were treated to the musical blend of Bruce Knoch, Sean Kelly and Rick Reiley as they performed on stage Friday evening.

Rick Reiley sent the following to KUSH in an email:

*Sean and Bruce exchanged turns at the mic and often accompanying each other on percussion, this was the fitting cap to Main Street Week in Cushing by local talent seldom heard in their own ‘home town’.

Sean Kelly local voice of KUSH Radio is a singer/songwriter who most recently performed at the Red Dirt Festival at the Grape Ranch winery in Okemah. Bruce Knoch a Stroud native who works in Cushing has been a voice to be reckoned with for many years in this area. Singing lesser known tunes by John Gorka, James Taylor and Lyle Lovett (as well as a few self penned numbers) Knoch has performed most recently at Greenfield Winery, Hastings Hard Back Café and Papa’s BBQ in Chandler.

Rick Reiley joined the two briefly for a few numbers.

Listeners were not only pleased with Kelly and Knoch but were especially surprised at the marvelous acoustics of Centennial Park.

More such performances are anticipated as weather permits.*
