(Stillwater) — A Cushing prison inmate who was scheduled to be considered for parole in May was charged Tuesday with hitting a guard at the Cimarron Correctional Facility with his fist on Oct. 25.

If convicted of assault and battery on Corrections Officer Chase Wright, Tommy D. Davis, 28, could be given an additional five-year prison term, according to court documents filed Tuesday.

Davis was 19 years old when he was given a 15-year prison term for armed robbery in Tulsa County in 2000, court records show.

He was slated to finish his sentence in October 2012, state Department of Corrections records show.
