Fans of Red Dirt and Americana music, and the songwriters that accompany it, are in for a treat Thursday, April 10, 2014 as the Cimarron Breeze Songwriter Showcase series is kicked off with a performance by Carter Sampson and Joe Mack. The Songwriter Showcase series is a free concert series, held at Territorial Plaza in Perkins, and features songwriters of the Americana genre. Other songwriters scheduled to perform are: Wil Maring & Forrest O’Connor, Rick Reiley & the Dustbowl Brothers, and Chuck Dunlap.
A second series, the Cimarron Breeze Concert series, begins at the Plaza Saturday, April 26, 2014, with featured performer Jimmy LaFave & Night Tribe. Cost: $20
This year’s featured artist line-up includes Bill Hearne, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Tom Skinner & The Science Project, Tim Easton & Megan Palmer, and The Cherokee Maidens. The Red Dirt Rangers will perform at a special event on July 25, 2014.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for season ticket holders and 6:30 p.m. for the public. Show time: 7 p.m.
