Carrie Ann Cackler, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Hillcrest Hospital, Tulsa, OK. at the age of 66 years.

Graveside services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK and will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing, OK.

The daughter of the late Jasper D. and Mary Pauline (Mitchell) Grubbs. Carrie was born on December 15, 1947 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Carrie was raised by her mother and step-father Baron Awtrey. She grew up in Ringling, graduating from Ringling High School in 1966. She married Gary Cackler on March 11, 1966 in Ringling, OK. They moved to Montana then back to Oklahoma City where her husband was in training for the Shell pipeline. They move to Louisiana and later to Mississippi for her husband’s work. While in Mississippi, she managed the Holiday Inn. Carrie liked to entertain and cook for many of their pipeline friends. They also enjoyed playing cards and traveling. She was known for her Homemade Noodles. After her husband Gary retired in 1984, they made their home in Cushing. Carrie worked as a CMA at Linwood Nursing Home from 1984 to 1993 leaving due to illness. She enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune. Carrie loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include son Randy Cackler and wife Casey of Cushing; brother Jasper Grubbs and wife Shirley, sister Betty Medford of Sundown, Tx., three grandchildren, Alexa M. Cackler, Jacob Creager and his wife Christy and Justin Creager; four great-grandchildren, Molly, Logan, Colleen and Halley; numerous other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Gary Cackler, sisters Margarite Raymond and Joe Ella Rose.
