(Cushing, Okla) According to OHP reports Robert Wakely (37) of Carney was in a accident that occured on US Highway 177 last night. Reports state the accident happened at approximately 8:58 (p.m.) on US Highway 177 ( 4/10 of a mile north of 750 Road and 2.6 miles South of the City Limits of Perkins, Oklahoma in Logan County).
Wakley was riding a 2005 Harley Davidson Motorcyle which was north bound and departed the roadway left for an unknown reason. The 2005 Harley Davidson struck a delineator and then struck the ground. Wakely was ejected approximately 3 feet from the motorcyle he was riding.
Wakely was transported by Medflight to OU Medical Center in critical condition with head, trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. The investigation is still pending.
