(Cushing, Okla.) Tonight, Thursday, March 27, 2014, the First Free Will Baptist Church, 1130 E. North Street in Cushing, will host the Candidate’s Forum. This is the second time the Cushing Chamber of Commerce has teamed with Red Dirt Media Group to provide a way for the community to know more about candidates running for elected office. Doors open at 6 p.m., the Forum will begin at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public. Incumbent Jim Hogrefe, Seat #5 of the Cushing Board of Commissioners, and his challenger Don Amon will be presented questions provided by citizens and Cushing media. Questioners are from The Citizen, KUSH 1600 AM and Red Dirt Media Group.
After the formal questioning is concluded and those attending leave, Brent Thompson, Executive Director of the Cushing Chamber of Commerce, will interview the candidates and allow them to talk more in depth about any of the issues they wish.
