Callie Liane Mainus, a 2012 graduate of Agra High School, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in O.U. Medical Center, Oklahoma City at the age of 18 years.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012 in the Agra High School Gymnasium with Reverend Anthony Lester officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford, OK. 

The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Callie Mainus Memorial Fund at Spirit Bank (P.O. Box 1071, Cushing, OK 74023) to help defray medical and funeral expenses.

   

Callie had just celebrated her 18th birthday on Monday, August 13 and had been working as a cashier the Wal-Mart in Cushing.  Callie was ready to start college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK where she was going to major in Medical Laboratory.  While attending Agra schools Callie was very active in the choir and the Pep Club. She also loved to dance in the high school talent shows but one of her greatest joys was barrel racing on her horse Allie.

Survivors include her mom and step-dad, Cindy Mainus and Rory Jett; father, Justin Mainus; stepsisters, Priscilla Jett, Belinda Welcher, and Melinda Friend; many other relatives and friends including Janene Fisher and her son Jake Fisher whom Callie considered her 2nd momma and brother.

Callie was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Virgil Mainus.
