Bret Eugene Tarver, a Cushing resident, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in his home at the age of 53 years.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, Cushing, OK. Burial will follow in the Lawson Cemetery, Yale, OK.
The son of the late Tom Tarver and Sue (Mitchell) Tarver, Bret was born on April 22, 1958 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was reared and educated in Oklahoma City, graduating from South East High School with the class of 1976.
Following high school he became an insulator with the Heat & Frost Insulators Local Union # 94. Bret will be remembered as a great athlete and a very generous man. He loved being outdoors and especially loved to play golf and fishing with his friends and family in various farm ponds.
Survivors include his son, Daniel Tarver of Cushing; one brother, Mitch Tarver and his wife Diana of Chandler, OK; two grandchildren, Brayden Tarver and Adain Wikel; four nieces; one nephew; and other relatives and friends.
