Brenda Ann Ingersol-Dale, age 53 a longtime Ripley resident, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Mehan Union Church, southeast of Stillwater.
Rev. Larry Eslinger and Brother Jerry Dale will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ripley, Ok.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Brenda was born on January 9, 1956 in Stillwater to Charles Fredrick and Mary Florene (Mead) Ingersol. She grew up in Ripley and graduated as Valedictorian from Ripley High School in 1974. Brenda married Jim Dale on September 4, 1979 at the Mehan Union Church. She worked as assistant director for the Fire Protection Publications at O.S.U., for 25 years. She currently worked for CBEW Accounting in Cushing. Brenda was a member of the Mehan Union Church. She was presently President of the Ripley School Board, having served on the board for four terms.
Brenda was a fan of Basketball; she enjoyed watching her son and was extremely proud of him for making All State. Brenda learned from her grandmother how to make and decorate cakes. She loved making wedding cakes and birthday cakes for family and friends. She was greatly loved and was a grandmother to her many nieces and nephews, taking them on numerous trips to Branson and attending their activities.
Spending time with her family and friends was her enjoyment. Brenda had the “Biggest Heart of Anyone”.
Brenda is survived by her husband Jim of the home, son Jim “Justin” Ingersol-Dale of Panhandle State, mother Florene Ingersol-Elston and husband Jerry of Perkins, grandmother Minnie Anderson of Perkins, sisters Claudette Hixon and husband Ronnie of Cushing, Melanie Fielding and husband Gary of Perkins, sister-in-law Janice Battle and husband Scooter of Ripley, nieces and nephews Brandi Brunt and husband Ricky, Chandi Terrel and husband Ed, Vicki Wood and husband Charlie, Valari Hayes and husband Keith, Thomas Charles (T.C.) Fielding and girlfriend Lindsay Spears, Ryan Fielding, Aaron Fielding, Scottie Fielding, Braden Fielding, J. R. Battle and wife Amanda, Joe Battle, Johnny Battle and wife Felicia, great nieces and nephews Jade, Porscha, Skyler, Paysli and Daxton Brunt, Gavin and Peyton Wood, Lillian Hayes, Hunter, Lance, Ellie and Will Terrel, Jasper, Hunter, Liberty and Justice Battle, Morgan, L. J. and Andrew Battle, longtime friend Kathy Hanks, 3 cousins and numerous friends
She was preceded in death by her father, sister Charlene Alsip, parents-in-law Helen and Robin Dale, brother-in-law Dean Alsip, grandparents Carl and Evelyn Wright,grandfather Ervin Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Payne County Bank in Perkins.
