Bonnie A. Miller, age 90 a longtime Yale resident passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Cushing Regional Hospital, Cushing.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m, Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Lawson Cemetery, Yale.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Bonnie was born on September 24, 1918 in Sardis, Oklahoma to the late Ralph and May ( Carlton ) Thompson.  She grew up in Sardis and attended school in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma , graduating in 1936.  She worked on B-24 Bombers during WWII, Bonnie was the last women to be laid off at the plant in California.  Bonnie married N.L. Miller in 1945.   They lived in San Diego, Spokane and moved back to Yale in 1962.  She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Sts. Paul Catholic Church.  Bonnie worked for the Jesuit Retreat House in Cushing as a cook for a number years.  After retirement, she enjoyed taking care of children in her home.   Bonnie enjoyed fishing.

Bonnie is survived by her son Gayle Standefer of Yale, her brother Carlos Thompson and wife Tommye of Yale, her sister Helen Wade of Henryetta, grandchildren Darin Standefer, David Standefer and Rhonda Watson, great grandchildren Josh Watson, Troy Standefer, Brogen Standefer, Tanner Standefer, Colby Standefer, Drake Standefer and Garrett Standefer.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband N. L. Miller.
