“Notice there’s not much discussion when it comes to accepting money,” Mayor John Henckel said with a laugh at Monday night’s board meeting.
Cushing Hospital Authority Board of Trustees quickly approved two resolutions Monday evening accepting donations to Cushing Regional Hospital.
Resolution #02-2009 authorized the acceptance of a donation from the Cushing Regional Hospital Foundation in the sum of $4,518 for the purchase of a monitor for the Women’s Health Center at CRH.
“This is a direct result of the generosity of the Thompson Foundation,” said Marian Gilkerson, executive director for the CRH Foundation. “We are very thankful to them.”
The second resolution – #03-2009 – authorized the acceptance of a donation from the Cushing Regional Hospital Auxiliary in the sum of $9,383 for the purchase and installation of dividers for the education room at CRH.
Mayor John Henckel commended the auxiliary for all their work supporting the hospital. To date, the Auxiliary has given over $100,000 to the CRH Foundation.
“If anyone is looking for a place to volunteer,” said auxiliary member Loreene Clyde, “the auxiliary is always looking for new members. We really have a good time working together.”
