Billie Faye Robinson was born March 1, 1935, at home in Jennings,OK to Buzz and Lillie Alsip. Billie attended Oilton Schools. She met Leo Robinson in early 1954 on Main Street of Oilton. After a brief courtship they married on May 26, 1954. They had three children; daughter Marsha Gail and sons Steven Leo and Gary Dewayne. The family made their home in Oilton.
Leo and Billie owned and operated LeRob Holstein Farm southeast of Oilton for more than forty years. In 1975 the couple lost their youngest son, Gary to a tragic car accident. In 1987 they suffered another loss of son Steven and daughter-in-law Lee (Reams) Robinson. At this time Leo and Billie raised their three grandchildren; Jenniffer Mechelle, Dustin Dewayne and Stephanie Lee.
Billie’s joys in life were spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her husband Leo until his passing last October. She also enjoyed going to garage sales, shopping, and watching television.
Billie passed away on May 25, 2009, at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leo Robinson, her parents Buzz and Lillie, sons Gary and Steven Robinson and daughter-in-law Lee Reams-Robinson, and later joined in death by her grandson Dustin Robinson. Billie is survived by one sister Thelma Martin and husband Denzel of Oilton, brother Dale and wife Marlene of Fort Gibson, OK, brother Donnie Alsip of Perry, OK, daughter Marsha Siler and husband Mike of Bessie, OK, grandchildren Cheyenne Robinson and wife Faith of Chickasha, Jenniffer Purvis and husband Matt of Oilton, Karrie Robinson and husband Jeff of Tulsa, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Robinson of Oilton, and Stephanie Browning and husband Jerry of Oilton, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Billie was a cherished and much loved part of her family and will be missed.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Oilton, OK and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2009 in the Oilton High School Gym with burial to follow in the Highland Cemetery, Oilton, OK.
