Berry Hunter was born on August 19, 1931; he married June Woods on June 1, 1951.  He spent most of his life in the Cushing, Yale Oklahoma area.  He was preceded in death by his wife June; sister, Connie McKenzie; one brother, Boyd Hunter and one granddaughter, Candy Wyant.  He is survived by one son, Berry Lee Hunter of Cushing; one daughter, Brenda Wyant of Cushing; one granddaughter, Angel Wyant of Cushing and 4 great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Abbie, Maggie, and Andy Capps of Cushing along with multiple family and friends.

    He worked in the grocery business for many years, managing the Watson grocery in Yale, Del Mars in Perkins, M&W in Stillwater and Wag-A-Bag in Cushing.  He later worked at National Standard in Stillwater until retirement.  In his retirement years, he enjoyed being a Wal-Mart greeter and working at Ron’s Used Autos.  He enjoyed golfing, camping, and casinos along with being a lover of Country music greats such as Hank Williams and watching old western movies.

    Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lawson Cemetery with Reverend Kevin Clouse officiating.
